Pressure Ulcers
- 78-year-old man
- COPD
- Deteriorates after COVID
- Entubated in ICU
- Transfered to ward with tracheostomy
Clinical Course
- The eschar was removed with enzyme containing gel (flaminal hydro)and hydrocolloid dressing (coloplast comfeel).v
Clinical Course II
- After all slough and eschar was cleaned off, vulnamin powder treatment was initiated.
Treatment
The Vulnamin PWD treatment was initiated.
The wound was filled up with Vulnamin PWD and the wound is closed with standard foam dressing (coloplast biatain silicone foam).
The application and the dressing change was performed every other day.
Results
- In 2 weeks, after 6 applications, the bone is totally covered with granulation tissue.
- The treatment still continues.
