87 years old woman, suffering from post-phlebitic syndrome in previous DVT complicated by phlebolymphedema, severe COPD under oxygen therapy (4 l/min for a minimum of 20 hours a day) and 5th stage Chronic Kidney Failure (indication of hemodialysis that the patient refused).
Due to a massive transcutaneous transudation, due to sudden worsening of edema, the skin in the posterior area of the left leg is injured.
Diagnosis
Wide lower limb lesion due to maceration in phlebolymphedema.
Previous Treatment
Hyaluronate Gauzes.
Reason for change
Severe pain, maceration increasing and worsening with appearance of necrotic tissues.
Treatment
- Vulnamin Cream
- 18 weeks (130 days)
- 3 applications/week
- Petrolatum gauzes as secondary medication
